Registering Pokerwize

• Why do I have to register?

  It is important to register your copy of Pokerwize to take advantage of all the great features of the game - most importantly the ability to play online with live players.

• What do you do with my registration information?

  At Pokerwize, we value your privacy. We only collect registration information to verify users' ages and to communicate important messages. Playwize does not intend to transfer personal information without your consent to third parties who are not bound to act on Playwize's behalf unless such transfer is legally required. Similarly, it is against Playwize's policy to sell personal information collected online without consent.

• Are my details secure?

  Yes. Pokerwize has taken measures to ensure our online services are secure. All information that you send and receive is transmitted through a RSA 1024 - bit Secure Socket Layer connection (SSL). SSL creates a secure link between your browser and our server. You will always know when you are using a secure connection because a padlock icon is displayed on the status bar of your browser. SSL also encrypts data and guarantees that it is not altered between your computer and our server.

• Who else receives my registration details?

  Certain of your details are sent to Pokerwize partners, Spin Palace Poker and Microgaming Ltd. Spin Palace Poker is the operator of the Pokerwize.com poker room and provides certain back office processing, including support and payment services. Microgaming Ltd. is the operator of the Prima Poker network.

Account Creation

• What is my account?

  Your account is a unique account registering you with Pokerwize and giving you access to online play with thousands of live players all over the world. Your account consists of a User Name, assigned to you by Pokerwize and an Alias and Password of your choosing.

• My Alias
  • What is an Alias?

    Your Alias is a unique name chosen by you that will be seen by other players when you play Pokerwize online. You also need to know your Alias if you have any questions for our customer service department.

  • My chosen Alias is rejected.

    No two people on the Microgaming network can have the same Alias. If you choose an Alias already assigned to another person on the network your chosen Alias will be rejected and you will be asked to choose another.

  • Can I change my Alias?

    Choose your Alias carefully, as you cannot change your Alias once you have registered, and you can only register for one account with Pokerwize. We have the right to terminate the accounts of any player who holds multiple Pokerwize accounts.

• Account Types
  • What is a Fun Money Account?

    A Fun Money Account is an account with Pokerwize that allows you to play online with other people without risking real money. When you register for a Fun Money Account you will choose a unique Alias and Password that will give you access to hundreds of poker tables with thousands of players all over the world.

    No two people on the Microgaming network can have the same Alias. If you choose an Alias already assigned to another person on the network your chosen Alias will be rejected and you will be asked to choose another.

  • What is a Real Money Account?

    A Real Money Account is an account with Pokerwize that allows you to play online with other people using real money. You can deposit and withdraw money at any time using our safe and secure banking system.

  • How do I upgrade my Fun Money Account?

    very Fun Money Account is eligible to be upgraded to play for real money. Simply click on the 'Bank' button at the bottom of the Lobby screen when you are online and deposit money into your account. Pokerwize offers you many deposit options and is safe and secure.

• Registering an Account

  To register an account with Pokerwize, just click on the 'Playwize - Play Online' button on the start up screen. You will be asked if you have a Pokerwize Alias. If you already have a Playwize Alias (because, for example, you've registered on another computer), click 'Yes' to login. Click 'No' and you will be taken to a form where you will be asked to provide us with some basic information, including your age and email address. Once you have registered you need to activate your Account.

• Activating an Account

  To activate your Account, you need to create an Alias. Upon completing registration, you will be asked to activate your Account by creating an Alias. First, enter your password when prompted. If you have an Alias with any poker room on the Microgaming network, please choose 'Yes' when prompted and enter your Prima Poker Alias. You may not have more than one Prima Poker Alias. If you do not have a Prima Poker Alias, select 'No' and choose a new Alias for your Pokerwize Account.

• Logging On

  To log on to play Pokerwize online, select 'Playwize - Play Online' and enter your Alias and Password when prompted. You will then be taken to the online lobby.

  • Setting up the Auto Log On

    To set up automatic log on, simply select the "Automatically login when going online?" tick box. The next time you choose to play online, you will automatically be logged on and directed to the lobby. If you want your computer to remember your Alias and Password without logging in, select the "Remember details on this machine?" tick box.

• Multiple Accounts
  • Can I have multiple Accounts?

    You can only register for one account with Pokerwize. We have the right to terminate the accounts of any player who holds multiple Pokerwize accounts.
