Sit and Go Tournaments

Sit and Go Tournaments are a great way to control how much money and time you want to invest in your poker. The basic premise is that you pay one amount and one amount only and then you play for a set prize: there are no re-buys, no second chances - you sit and go! As with multi table tournaments, there are a few variations to be aware of:

  • Single table:

Single table tournaments consist of one table of usually 5 or 10 players who’ve all paid one buy in amount to fight for set prizes. Be aware they come in different speeds, for example in the extreme turbo version of the STTs the blinds will raise every two hands, so the whole tournament can be over in ten minutes! The tournaments don’t start until all of the seats at the table are full, so look for tables with people seated and waiting.

  • Multi table:

The same principle but you can have a greater number of entrants playing on more than one table, this means obviously that if you get into the prizes you can win more money for the risk of your entrance fee. Again, no re-buys, just one fee for one chance.

  • Heads Up:

Go head to head with a fellow poker player in a winner takes all 2 player game.

  • Rounders:

A Great new way to win yourself a huge payout. There are several levels of rounder tournaments depending if you play 10 seat or heads up. If you start at level one you pay $10 + $1 to win a set of tokens, these tokens gain you entrance to the next level of the rounders tournament. If you make it all the way to the last level you’ll win big, for example if you get to level 5 on the 10 seat tables and win you’ll take down $3,000! These are great value tournaments to play.

  • Freeroll:

Again, free to enter, but the prizes are very small, a good introduction to the world of sit and goes, but you have to be quick getting to the table as they’re very popular!
